She sang the greeting song to start the lesson.
After a quick revision on the words and pictures she learned in her first lesson on Q, we listened to the rhyme and song of Q, which went like this:
Quails 'a quarreling q, q, q,
Q is the sound of Q!
She traced and write upper and lower case Q on the worksheets I printed from Starfall.com
I prompted her to spell the word "Quilt".
The craft work for this lesson was to make a quilt by using the cloths and paper below:
I wanted to staple the cloths to the paper which I thought would be easier, but it was not working and I let her paste the cloths on the paper by using glue instead.
The finished product looked like this, is ugly isn't it?
I told her the story of "ducks in a farm", where she played as the duckling:
The storyline was something like this:A farmer had a farm where the ducks were very noisy, a queen gave a magic quilt to the farmer where the ducks would keep quiet once they see the magic quilt. You can tell any story as long as you have fun with your kid.
We had fun playing with the duck headband from her lesson D, she made the sound "quack, quack, quack" whenever I put the quilt down, and kept quiet when I put the quilt up.
Didi joined in the fun as the "Queen", haha!
We dance around with the closing song of Six little ducks.
